If your webpage is not displaying
information correctly then you are experiencing what is called
as the Internet Explorer Script Error. This is a very common
Error and you sure must have experienced it before. The error
message thereby displayed can be anything like the following:
Problems with this webpage might prevent it form being displayed
properly or functioning properly. In future you can display this
message by double-clicking the warning icon displayed in the
status bar.
Or Done, but with errors on the page might be displayed in your
status bar.
The problem occurs when the HTML source code of the webpage does
not gel with the script on the client’s side, say for example
Microsoft Jscript or Visual Basic Script. This can also happen
when there is actually some error in the JavaScript of the page
and it is not compiling properly.
The various causes behind the problem can be:
Some trouble with the HTML source
code of the page
Your computer system or network is
programmed to block ActiveX or Active controls or Java applets
If your anti-virus software is
instructed to scan temporary internet files or download program
files folders
A corrupt or outdated scripting engine on your system
Corrupt internet related folders
Your video card drivers are
corrupt or outdated
Corrupt or outdated DirectX
component
Before anything else try to figure out the cause behind the
problem from all the abovementioned potential problems. Once
that is done the next step would be to do away with the cause
itself.
Verify that your virus scan set up is not programmed to scan the
temporary internet files/ folders.
remove temporary internet related files from your system.
If you are using Windows 98, Windows 98 II edition, Windows ME,
Windows NT 4.0, then download the latest version of scripting
engine. If however you are using Windows XP or Windows server
2003 then you already have the latest version. In this case
undertake an in-place upgrade or repair.
Turn off the features that you
don’t need.
Reconfigure your video-card
settings.
You can also try reducing the
number of colors your system is using. Keep repeating it till
you either reach the lowest setting or the error stops
appearing.
Reduce the screen area.
Turn off hardware acceleration.
Turn off active desktop.
Install the latest version of
Microsoft DirectX.

Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 5.5, Internet Explorer 5.01,
Internet Explorer 5.0 browser systems.
