Ever experienced Internet Explorer crashes? If you have then
you would know exactly what a nuisance they can be. Its
imperative and crucial for you to understand what causes these
errors and how can you prevent them to save yourself unnecessary
anxiety and perplexity in the future. These Crashes are quite
common in nature as the application itself is quite vulnerable
and at times quite unstable. There are various security fixes
which
Microsoft keeps on rolling from time to time. And also as it
is quite popular, the hackers also find it worthwhile to play
with its vulnerabilities.
First, to look into the reasons that can be causing the trouble:
Incorrect display settings
The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) may not support the operating
system and/or the hardware configuration that you are using
Required patches are missing
The browser version that you are using may not be supported
Once you have pin-pointed the nature of the problem fixing it
would be easier. The following pointers will be of help.
Ensure that your operating system supports the JRE version that
you are using. The latest version of JRE supports the following
Microsoft Operating bases:
Windows 98
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows NT
Windows XP
Check if you have all the latest updates and patches installed
in your computer. Go to the Microsoft Windows update site and
check if there are any new updates available that you don’t
have. In maximum number of cases downloading the latest updates
and fixes would resolve the trouble. You can also find out the
latest in updates by going to your start menu and then to the
Update Windows pointer.
Ensure that your browser supports the running JRE. Check the
latest updates and available versions of your browser. Download
if you have them already.
Do you have AOL web Browser? This can also be a problem because
AOL Browser is not unconditionally supportive of Java technology
based applications on the internet. Try using external web
browsers is this case. They maybe more accommodating. You can
chose between Mozilla, Internet explorer, Netscape or Opera.
Using the AOL version 3.0 or higher might also be helpful.
If you are using internet explorer version 5.5 or 6.x then make
sure that you have downloaded Service Pack 2 and service pack 1
respectively for your browser.
Adjust your Display Settings. For the JRE to work at its optimum
level your computer should support a minimum number of colors.
Your minimum color setting should be 256 colors.

You can repair all
Internet Explorer errors and put an end to crashes by
simply running a scan for errors and allowing the Bug Dr
to repair them.
